Can I send messages without visiting the website?

Do you use the mobile numbers that I send messages to for marketing purposes?

Absolutely not, we are ISO 27001 certified and security and confidentiality are at the forefront of the service we provide to our customers. We treat your recipient phones as your data. We comply fully with the Data Protection Act, and seek to protect your data.

Can I send messages to more than one number at a time?

Yes, we offer bulk SMS sending. You can send to up to 1000 messages at a time on any of our solutions (2sms website, 2sms software solutions)

How many characters do I get in the message?

You can now send long messages up to 18,000 characters. When you send a long message, the first message can be up to 160 characters long. However when you go over that the first few characters of the subsequent messages are replaced with a binary UDH header, meaning that the message length decreases to 145 characters for each subsequent message sent.

Can people reply to my message?

Yes. In order for us to receive two-way messages on your behalf you would need to be provided with a unique long number, which looks the same as a mobile phone number and this is dedicated to you. Once we have received the data on your behalf we would then process it for you in whichever format you require. This can be forwarded to either another mobile phone, or outbound email to alert you to SMS receipt, or an XML post to remote domain to alert to SMS receipt or a WAP session to view traffic stats and these are all charged at 1 message credit each.

How do I change the header on my message?

For a one-off fee you can configure a customised header to use on your accounts. This would then be in place of the generic 2sms number. This can be alphanumeric, up to 11 characters with no spaces for example ‘my_business’. The same header can be placed on as many of your accounts as you require. *NB as this is a one-off fee there will be no annual charge for this.

Do you do reverse billing?

No - we find that it doesn't work. We offer a pre-pay service where customers can buy services online or over the phone.
